The Pacific Coast
Our drive from San Jose del Cabo to La Paz took us along the Pacific coast line before heading east to La Paz. We stopped for lunch at a small resort call Cerritos Surf Town.
The road from the airport to La Paz is a well maintained four-lane highway. Turning left onto a wide, dusty, rutted, dirt road we headed toward the ocean. We pulled up to a place that had a swimming pool so we thought we'd ask if they served lunch, They did!
The breeze from the ocean was cool and we had a nice lunch sitting in the shade of a big umbrella next to the bar. Although there were folks on the beach and out in the sea surfing, there were stretches of the beach that were pretty empty. This scene of equestrians on the beach feels like Mexico...certainly not like Seattle.
Welcome to Baja California Sur.
