Along the Coastline

North of La Paz, along the Sea of Cortez, is a bare coastline filled with life. The Great Gray Heron is surveying for his lunch.



The air along the coast is filled with Magnificent Frigatebirds.

I think this image really captures the feel of the place: the sea, cacti, and Frigatebirds.

The black specks in the image below are all frigatebirds riding thermals.

The austere shore is a place of silence, isolation, heat, and beauty.
