Hooded Oreole

During an outing to El Triumfo, we found some Hooded Oreoles busy with their lives. Out by the main road through the town, there was bug filled broken light that was clearly popular with local population.

Both the males and females were busy trying to feed a family.

When we went to the cafe for lunch, we discovered that there were a couple nests in the trees above us (we ate on a patio outside). Mom brought a juicy worm to feed the young'uns.

She's pretty mean teasing them while she makes her decision.

Finally the choice is made. Someone is happy and someone is not. Mom's just exhausted since here brief rest is over...time to fetch another morsel.

And down it goes!

The patio was a place for all of us to get a nice lunch. We even got a floor (tree) show for entertainment.
