Museo de La Ballena

We choose to head over the Museo de La Ballena to learn about whales. Naturally, we assumed it would be air conditioned. Naturally, we were wrong.

Along the way from our parking spot to the museum, we passed this street art that caught my eye. The passing guy in the pink shirt was just a lucky break.

Inside the cooler (well, not quite so hot) the museum we did indeed see lots of skeletons of whales and other sea creatures.

There were shells and bones of sea turtles as well.

While there were several good skeletons, there were also some shaky reproductions as well. It was all dimly lit. In many places, the black walls were used as chalkboards. Interesting idea but it was often hard to read.

Back outside, we were greeted with the full strength of the sun and the bright blue Sea of Cortez just across the Malecon.
