Our last outing in Budapest was a visit back to the Opera House for a tour. You've already seen some of this from our visit to see an performance, but I believe that the photos with the iPhone were limited both by where we could go during a public performance and by my ability to compose using the small camera. Today we start a series to correct those limitations.
One of the things we miss out on in the US is having a history of a rich king to build fancy things for everyone to use. Budapest really benefits from this in spades.
The find wood, the marble, and stained glass make even mundane places like the exit, a special place.
It is difficult to imagine an artist, on scaffolding painting so many different paintings on the ceiling.
And, to further realize that all that you've seen so far is just the lobby. We haven't got to the fancy parts yet.
Well actually, we have arrived at the fancy parts. It is all incredible.
