The Central Market

No trip to Budapest would be complete for us without a visit to the Central Market. A big place filled with lots of meat and veg vendors as well as a few places that sell spices (lots of paprika), honey, and tchotchkes.
We were surprised to find that the market was not crowded at all. I think the covid has made the crowds, in general, very manageable. We've not really experienced a big crowd at all so far.

There are some restaurants upstairs but we did not go since we weren't interested eating there. For us the climb was not worth the view. We had other plans.

Our plan was to walk across the street and order a sweet at the Anna Cafe and people watch while a spirits caught up with us. Fresh air and sunshine for us.
