On out first outing in Budapest, we stopped at the Opera station of the M1 subway to get a nice breakfast cake at the restaurant in the hotel next door. However, it was only serving the hotel residents at the time so we had to continue on down the street.
But not before I got a few shots of the newly remodeled entryway to the State Opera House (above and below). It is really an impressive place. We have tickets for the opera on Sunday evening and quite excited to see the building and (also hear) the opera.
As we wandered on down the street, we found another over-the-top entryway that I had to stop and photograph. Imagine if this were your home or place of business and you got to go in and out this door every day.
Today is just a tease in anticipation of things to come. Also, we are both quite jet lagged and are only slowly shifting into the correct time zone. A 9 hour jump is a large one. This means that after the doing, I don't have a lot of energy for the processing and blogging, but I'm getting there.
Stay tuned, I'll try to get up to speed on both Budapest and the Alaskan birds.
