Funny how we often assign a color to an object when very little, if any, of it is actually that named color. For example, the white tulip above is many shades of yellow, a pinch of green, and perhaps a few other subtle colors tossed in on top of the little bit of while we see.
But this daffodil is clearly white and non-white with only small parts of yellow and green added in.
This one is clearly yellow/orange and pink. A curious combination of colors, but one that works very well.
This freshly opening bud is showing the milky-white parts as the outer green and white petals open.
