Old Friends Showing Off

What would spring be without daffodils? I suppose like spring in a place like norther Alaska or Ecuador where they don't grow. But we are fortunate to have then here and we can enjoy the many varieties with the mix of colors to brighten our days.

Since daffodils hang their heads down, being the shy beauties that they are, it is easy to notice that the back of the blossoms are pretty also.

I don't know what sort of tree this is but the slight blush of color on the petals makes these small flowers something special.

Forsythia is a common sight in yards and along roadsides, but we seldom get close enough to inspect the flowers. We are used to seeing them and long branches of yellow, not as individuals. Today, I bring you a few of the individual blooms just so you know what Mother Nature is actually doing out there along the road as you drive past.
