This color of tulip is one that I especially like. The reds and purples are fine colors, but the delicacy of this yellow is really something else.
This one that mixes pink and hints of orange is very good, but I still like the yellow better.
The cherry trees are in bloom as well. Small, delicate petals and vibrant red centers mark these perennial favorites.
There are lots of tulip trees hereabouts. Most of the blossoms are too far above the ground for me to photograph without a huge production (owner's permission, a ladder, climbing up and down and moving to find the right spot, etc.) but I can find a fallen tulip tree flower petal on the ground to bring you a little smile without any effort at all. The dandelions are doing their part of frame the star in this found composition.
