Many flowers are only recognized as flowers from the way they grow, not from their nice petals or colors. This one looks as if the grass just went a little crazy and started trying to be more than merely grass.
But the grass keeps is character and outside the above wannabe flowers with its intense "grass-ness".
Today is a special day...Today, Elizabeth and I celebrate our 40th anniversary! It seems appropriate to celebrate this milestone with a well-formed tulip and showing off its glory.
These slightly droopy purple flowers demure in honor of our long journey to reach this point. The best way to celebrate is with the joy of the beauty around us and with each other.
Hope you are all celebrating something this year that represents a milestone in your life. If it good to be happy about things once in a while, especially after such a long slog through covid.
