The breaks between rainstorms is getting longer as we move into springtime. Flowers are beginning to appear everywhere, even on our doorstep. Today begins a series of posts bringing you some of the flowers we have in our neighborhood.
Some flowers come as individuals, all proud and egotistical. Others come in communities, sharing and being a one-of-many, it takes a village sort of plant.
Others, don't really seem to have a bloom at all. Rather these plants like to display their colors and shapes in a chaos of growth.
But these lone egotists are often pretty amazing... subtle colors, delicate textures, and vibrant contrasts.
