By walking the streets and not simply driving everywhere, I see things that I would otherwise miss. Such as this painted wooden statue of a ... what?... a soldier? a woodland elf? I don;t know exactly, nor can I guess why it is here. But, here it is.
On toward the center of town a short ways is the old theater (or opera house, as it was called back in the day). It has, I think, been bought in the last year and is under new management, but it still seems to be an antique/junk store.
There used to be two tractors out front. Now it is one tractor and a saddle. I suppose that is progress. Of a sort.
