More Wet Things

Even in the off season, clover is worth a second look. The way it captures the rain and holds it on display for us to see recommends it for everyone's yard.

But it is hard to beat the trees for holding a large drop in just the right place to use as a lens.

Some trees just seem to be made for showing off water drops. This one combines the drippy panache with curly bark. It seems as if it was soaked too long and its skin is peeling off.

Yet, in spite of its clear case of really, really bad eczema, this tree is photogenic.

The St. John's Wort dies have an advantage with rain. These leaves really show off the shiny water drops. It is almost as if the plant has taken these water drops as part of its fall clothing.
