By Blackman's Lake

I'm sure that many of you have seen the photos of the bushes with the bright red berries that I've published here and thought to yourself, "Gee, such great Christmas colors!". Well, others seem to have had this thought as well and took it one step further. Here we have holiday lights on one such bush.

But fall is still upons us and not all leaves are yet completely brown. This lone straggler is lying on a cement wall posing just for me.

My walk this day took me north to Blackman's Lake. While it is not a great lake (no pun intended) it is a nice place and has a few duck and coots. This stone is sitting in the stream that drains the lake.

As you can see the ducks are perfectly happy to glide about to see and eat.

There are also coots here as well.

But on this day, the real star of the show is the sky. These clouds create a watercolor-like abstract above the house on the other side of the lake.

And, for some reason, the ducks just don't care.
