Last Look, Rosslyn Chapel

Instead of a dull, dirty grey as is usual in old stone churches, this place is vibrant and colorful. It a piece of antique eye-candy.

The buttresses between the windows are quarried in a different place than the rest of the building. I do not know if this is intentional, but I suspect it part of the intended color scheme.

As you look up, the ornamentation becomes more profuse. The extension of the buttresses and the small towers next to them are crowded with flowers and similar designs.

The backside of the chapel is perhaps the plainest of the four outside walls. Yet, it is still a fascinating sight.
