After my visit to the Franciscan Church, I headed back out into Ferenciek Tere to go catch up with E. On the way I spotted this imposing statue with interesting buildings in the background.
Across Kossuth Lajos utca is a grand building that says it is a hotel, but I see little evidence that it is in business. But it must be something that brings in money since it is in good shape.
All along the sides are these grotesques of naked humans apparently poking out the side of the building. The detail in the Moorish style arches and the balconies is most impressive.
Although they are in very different styles, the building and the lamp posts make a good combination.
