Hereford Cathedral - III

Nearly all of the burials in the cathedral are bishops. This one, setting under the stained glass, I thought made an especially nice image.

The vaulting of the ceiling is especially nice in the portion of the church. I really like the way the nave, partially hidden behind the center pillar, seems to recede forever into the distance.

Another of the many chapels is this smaller one with its intricate ceiling and many details on the walls.

As you can see, the stained glass here is in a more modern style and, while quite nice, don't seem to really fit.

I confess that I do not remember who is buried here. I'm sure they were important.

As a reminder of the time when we visited, here is the place visitors come to sign a book to express their condolences for the passing of Queen Elizabeth. Such places were set up in all the Anglican churches since, after all, she was the also the head of the church.
