Waters from the Deep

We've had lots of rain here lately, even by PNW standards. As you can see from the spider web above, even the little critters are getting bogged down. But the real action is on the river.

On the eastern side of downtown Snohomish is a dead end street that runs down to the river. As you can see, there is now a really good reason not to be parking where it tells you not to. You have, in older posts seen views of the train trestle shot from on the other side of this sign. Well, that ain't happening today.

Normally, I would walk down by the trash can below and on out in what is now the river for another 30-50 feet to set up my tripod. The river is really roaring.

This is the place where the trail that runs along the shore between the river and town starts. As you can see, some part of it farther west is under water. I did not explore to find out what part.
