After a very long time without any sort of party nearly anywhere, we arrived at the point where all the adult neighbors have been vaccinated and they, along with their uninfected children (that would be all of them) can over for a scavenger hunt in our yard. Tons of Dollar Store tchotchkes filled the lawn, bushes, and crannies for the young ones to find and collect in their bags.
Charlie, dressed as Gecko from the PJ Masks cartoon, finds a goodie.
Seamus, dress as Cat Boy from the same franchise, find himself a prize.
Of course, we had to get them to pose for us.
Anna and Dilly constructed a ghost cake. Lots of orange icing and fondant were used in the construction but no actual ghosts were hurt.
Charlie's other grandmother, Nana, is feeding her some cake.
And here are the kids with Nana and Poppa. Good time with everyone getting to see and talk to each other. I think the adults enjoyed it more than the kids and they really enjoyed it. Finally good to have a little bit of life back.
