Mono Lake Cemetery - II

It is clear that some people interred here are of modest means. The marker above is made by hand with love.

Here's another one made by hand. It is interesting to see how people choose to remember their loved ones.

One of the plots has a fence around it and this metal tulip sits at each corner.


The grave below is decorated with a curious collection of oddments. The flag suggests that the resident might have been in the military. The antlers may indicate that he was a hunter or outdoorsman. The eagle with beads represents...I don't know what. Nor do I know why there is a jar full of money (among other things) here.


But this small angel sums up the general sentiment of all the memorials.
