Also next to the small church you saw posted yesterday, is this adobe gift shop. I liked the colors and the small niche in the wall by the front door.
Below is a better image than the one you saw yesterday of the river canyon in the distance. I'm quite sure we could have walked to at least the rim of the canyon, but we were not in the mood for such a walk in the bright sun.
In the distance are the Sangre de Cristo Mountains looming impressively over the wide valley and the city of Taos.
Once you are out of the towns and cities of New Mexico it is easy to find a view that has looked this same way for perhaps several hundred years.
