Ellery Creek Big Hole
The last stop on our coach tour was at Ellery Creek Big Hole. This is big swimming hole that is very nice. A big hole with calm, cool water and an inviting shoreline for picnicking.
On either side of the stream is a large section of the ranges that creates a backdrop for activities.
With the impending storm, we get a feeling that we are separated from the rest of nature by this huge wall of rock.
A magical place for a swim and a stroll.
Out on a nearby rock we found this Long Nosed Dragon basking.
This is a striking creature with his bright brown and white about his head. This is one of the fun things about being in Australia. There is usually a new creature nearby that spices things up a bit. Unless you are one of those folks who don't like reptiles...then it spices things up a lot for you!
