Walking Across the Southwark Bridge
We came out upon the southbank of the Thames near low tide making all the muddy banks of the river visible. Ahead is the Southwark Bridge. Behind it is St. Paul's Cathedral. We decided to walk across the bridge to the Mansion House tube station so we could catch the District train back home.
Looking back downstream, we see the London Bridge and the Shard. It seems to be nearly scratching the clouds above.
Facing upstream we see the Millenium Bridge in front of the train bridge and the Blackfriars Bridge.
Looking north toward Liverpool Street Station, we see the Walkie-Talkie on the right, a little sliver of the Gherkin just behind the Cheese Grater. From here we get nearly all the named buildings.
The shot below is from the south bank looking in a similar direction. I like the monochrome treatment here.
