Sunrise

We are down in a deep valley with our back to the east. Looking west over the mountains in front of us, we can see the sun illuminating the clouds and the mountain tops as the sun comes up.



At sunrise a couple days ago, the moon was right on the mountain top opposite us. Today it is a good bit higher in the sky. the dark cloud to the right kinda resembles that from an erupting volcano...maybe a little.

Around to the right, the hills are not high enough to catch the sun just yet so we see the pastels of the clouds and the hills completely in the shadow to the ones behind us.

The moon, the olive trees, and the glowing mountain tops make this a fine morning scene. If this were a real postcard, this is where I'd say "Wish you were here". Mostly, I glad we're here. Enjoy the images.
