Lounging about the Eastwood Market
We took another turn about the local market area to buy a couple things and exercise little Fox. No visit to a place filled with asian food would be complete without a vide of duck and chickens hanging in the window.
There's a shopping district that borders on the local mall (a small one). The street between is a pedestrian mall and partially covered by a large pergola covered with the mother root of wisteria. I'm pretty sure these folks have no idea what sort of monster they've created. We had a wisteria in South Carolina that grew up one tree. Quite by chance I found that it had roots that spanned the entire length of out house in the crawl space. We decided to move before we found ourselves strangled in the bed one night.
My theory is that the bright red Westpac Bank sign just irritates it to grow faster.
Lots of people out in spite of the risk of imminent wisteria attack. Even the pigeons seem unfazed and they should know better.
