Tasman Island Cruise - Whales

Our cruise also including sighting of Humpback Whales. This fellow was swimming near our boat and made several dives.



It is always hard to photograph whales because they surface at seemingly random times and locations. After the one good shot above, what I got was shots of the tail as it went back down.

Check out the barnacles on the points of the tail.

A majestic creature swimming around underneath us. I'm always amazed at the small splash created by this huge animal as it dives.
