On the Prowl Between Rain Showers

Looking for photo compositions along my well walked paths leads me to both old and new things to see. Above is what was originally, no doubt, a driveway for wagons and has now become mostly unused. To wide and in the wrong place to be a walkway and to narrow to be a drive for cars, it sits gated and locked and largely ignored.

Below is, I think, a tulip tree putting out buds for the coming year. These little fuzzy protrusions can be seen everywhere these days.

These mossy little rock gardens adorn our little town in abundance. Sometimes they are unintentional, in spaces that fill corners and fence borders. Other times, they are there on purpose to add to the flowers found around them. In either case, these simple displays can lighten the heart if you will just stop and give it a chance.
