Turtles Sunbathing on the Beach

A few minutes walk from the condo is a small spit of beach where the green sea turtles like to come some afternoons to catch a few rays.

After what must surely be an exhausting crawl on the beach, these creatures seemingly just declare "enough is enough" and stop just past the high water mark and stop for a snooze in the sand.

I sympathize. It does feel good to get out of the cool water and warm up once in a while.

I did not get too close to them but they did not seem at all concerned about my presence as I wandered about and took photos.
