Langley Cemetery

On our bi-weekly trip to Whidbey Island, we discovered the Langley Cemetery. And a dandy cemetery it is. It seems that Langley is an attractor for the 'woo' and there are many graves here of people that are, as my dad might has said, 'a little shy of plumb'.

It is beautiful place, nestled among the trees and the bushes, not at all like the sterile lawns we've seen in Seattle. While there are many traditional gravestones, there are also quite a few unconventional ones.

There are quite a few benches and (adirondack) chairs here for people to sit and commune with their departed friends and family. While there are many small statues, none seem to be a fix part of the grave.

There are also lots of bamboo wind chimes located at various graves. For example, this one with its unconventional headstones, also produces music when the wind blows.

The woo is especially strong with this one. Jerry and Marilyn were apparently into all sorts of new age-y things. Marilyn even work as a death mid-wife (I'll let you sort that one out on your own).

I suppose that this bird (peacock?) is part of a grave marker, but I could not find the grave.
