Even though the weather is clearly turning for the cooler, there are still some signs of the productive summer. For example, this fushia is still blooming.
The leaves on a neighbor's strawberries are going red, telling us that the productive part is past now, at least for them.
Nestled in amongst the strawberry leaves is a ripe apple that has fallen from it's stem above the berries.
And there are still other flowers that are going like gang busters and putting out blooms left and right.
Here's a bee's eye view of the business end of a flower.
Some flowers are, however, clearly past their prime and showing their age. Just like the rest of us, getting a bit grey around the edges.
