Walking to Seven Dials
One the way from Trafalgar to Seven Dials, we pass Cecil Court. This street is filled with little shops selling stuff you rarely see on other streets.
Everywhere are antique shops and places that sell maps and books. A most interesting place connecting Charing Cross Road and St. Martin's Lane.
Around the corner on St. Martin's Lane is the Salisbury Pub with its ornately carved glass windows.
And in Seven Dials we find that Matilda is (still) playing while cars circle the roundabout.
After a look about the neighborhood, we headed toward Covent Garden via The Crown and Anchor. This is another one of those images I like for its (approximate) timelessness. If you put your thumb over the taxi and squint to blur out the clothing styles, this could just about be anytime in the last 80 years or so.
