Jedburgh Abbey

Jedburgh is another place we've been before, but is was quite a while ago. We came here in 1988 on our first trip overseas. Seemed like time to revisit this place and see what it is up to.

Jedburgh Abbey is another 12th century structure that is now standing in ruins for us to be amazed by.

And amazed we were. My memories of the first visit so long ago are not great, but I do remember that this place was quite a sight. And so it is.

With a little blue sky above, we got some nice views. And it being winter time, there are no crowds to fret about being in the shots.

The church yard looks on a neighboring church.

Well worth the trip to see this well preserved ruin (forgive the oxymoron, but you know what I mean).

Even though (again), most of the graves are Victorian, some are brightly colored from wear and things growing.

Forgive this overdone HDR, but it does set the mood and show the details of the building very well.
