The 90 Mile Straight
For those of you who are hooked on the metric system (as am I), that's a 146.6 km straight. this is the longest section of straight road in Australia. It does go up and down as the land mildly undulate, but it does not deviate from a straight line.
As you can see, it is quite straight. And in spite of the fact that we are hours past the Nullarbor National Park, there's still not much in the way of taller vegetation out there.
This is the view in both directions. No cars, no trees, no curves. No worries about standing in the middle of the road for a few photos.
The curious thing is that the straight section ends for no obvious reason. There was a curve, but nothing that I could see to curve around. Seemed a shame to end before you absolutely had to.
