Eucla
After our drive through the nullarbor, we crossed the state line into Western Australia. the next outpost of civilization is the village of Eucla. We rented a campsite for the evening in the caravan park and found ourselves on a hill overlooking the foreshore and the beach.
What a great view from our tentsite.
Between us an the beach is a road to the beach and an air strip for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) to land to help sick or injured people.
We pitched our tent on a spot overlooking this space and relaxed with a light evening meal.
Just to let you know that the RFDs is a serious thing, just down the road from our campsite is one of several places along this road where the highway is marked to serve as a landing strip.
