Newstead
In the town of Newstead are all sorts of cool buildings. The first one we came upon was this tiny church.
Around on the side of the church is a window through which you can see a window on the other side of the building. For some reason, there is a rope hanging just inside the near window.
The butcher has a nice little store.
The old government building is an impressive structure, especially in the context of the small town in which it is located.
Some of the buildings are freshly painted.
Others have modern trimmings.
But some seem to just be as they were 100 years ago.
On the edge of town is the old butter factory. It appears to be a home or apartment building now, but the outside remains a nice example of 19th century architecture in this part of Victoria.
