Around Castlemaine
Winter is coming to an end and flowers are starting to bloom. Spring is on its way.
On a hill near the CBD we find the Anglican Church.
Inside it is filled with the sorts of things you might expect in a church with ancient roots in catholicism
The roof is quite a display of exposed wood and beams.
It rather reminds me of a barn roof. It may be that this resemblance is not accidental since the people who build it may have only had barn raisin' as a background for building.
On Lyttleton Street in the CBD, we find the Imperial Hotel, or remains of it. While I was there, this lady drove up in her old car for a photo shoot with a pro so I jumped in for a quick snap.
The Hotel is quite elaborate even if it is not well maintained. There seems to be no occupants at present.
Between the Gaol on the hill and the CBD is the train station. Not busy at the moment.
