We get a different view of the history of Dunbar when we visit the parish church. W. Archibald gave his young life for his country in 1944.
Another Archibald from about 60 years earlier lies in a another corner of the cemetery.
The real find is this memorial located along the wall. This is the first memorial that I can remember seeing of an officer who died during the Sepoy mutiny.
I photographed this one because of the very well rendered Victorian draped urn. It almost looks like a piece of cloth.
