A Bit More of Rye

As partial testimony to the length of time that this town has existed, it is easy to find an eclectic mix of architectural styles. Additionally, us yanks are always a bit jarred by finding a Boots in an building that is older than my grandmother.

There's a bit of Victorian ornamentation to be found around some of the doors and windows.

A Tudor timber framed house stands proudly on this street.

And finally a door with handmade windows painted a bright modern (?) color. While people have always painted doors red and green. I strongly suspect that pink is a recent addition to the palette for door coatings.
