Marina Beach Park, Edmonds

There are two things you can always count on when going to the beach in Washington: a rocky beach and trees that have washed ashore. Certainly, the Marina Beach Park in Edmonds is no exception to this rule I just made up. No point in having a rule if the first thing you do is break it, is there? Of course not.

We arrived at low tide and could see lots of rocks that have been dropped by the tides and waves to be covered with barnacles.

One of the more interesting things that you can do here is simply study a small patch of stones and shells. The colors and textures are worth a look. Kind of reminds me of the sort of thing you'd find in a dentist's office to take you mind off the impending pain you likely to encounter. Or maybe a puzzle that is cut into a 1000 pieces for your amusement. Ooh, ooh! I know...it is the background for a billboard advertising billboard advertising. There. I've now filled you head with all sort of things that have nothing to do with what you first thought of when you looked at the image. See, art is all about context.
