Niarbyl Bay

The last stop on our day-long photo tour was Niarbyl Bay. This small cove happens to be pointed in the right direction to enjoy sundown. It would seem that it is still used by the lobster fishermen since they store their traps here.

Just around the corner, is a small cottage that may or may not still be in use. That was never clear to me. But it does make a picturesque scene.

The beach is a rocky one and this small poll caught my eye as a bit of foreground in a view of the Irish Sea as it stretches away to the horizon.

From a higher elevation, we can see the small cottage and the beach to get a bit of context for the location.

As the sun dropped in the sky, the views toward the sun became more interesting.

Around to the north side of the bay we can see strongly colored stone laid down in layers.

With a long exposure, the sun paints a path to the eye as it begins to dip nearer to the horizon.

And just before sundown, with a much longer exposure, we get a milky smooth froth in the foreground wearing its pastel colors to complement the drama in the sky. It was a wonderful day and lots of fun.
