The ubiquitous sally lightfoot crab is out for a bit of sun. The camouflage is interesting. It both blends in with the rocks with it's spotted markings and stands out because it a pretty big crab.
Clearly, I found the good side of this brown pelican and he/she wants to pose for me in his/her favorite position.
The wandering tattler also visits here and it a bit harder to see than crabs and pelicans. These birds range along the west coast of the Americas from Alaska to northern Chile so it isn't like this is an exotic creature. But likely one you haven't seen yet.
He seems to be searching the water pool for his next morsel to eat.
