Galapagos Mocking Bird and a Brown Pelican

Last time, I showed you this handsome mockingbird sitting high on a bare limb. Here he is near the ground and closer to me. He's quite a interesting bird.
Out on the beach, we see the ubiquitous brown pelican stretching his wings a bit.

Being volcanic islands, every beach, even if it has a nice sandy section, has lava on it also. It is a favorite perch of all sorts of animals.

As the day gets later and the shadows longer, this slightly prehistoric looking animal dominates the seascape.
