A modern church, filled with carpet, cushioned seats, and heating and cooling presents a much more comforting scene than this austere place of worship. You've really got to want to worship to engage in this place on a cold winter's day.
As we take out leave, we spy a smaller, newer organ in the corner.
Then we are outside in the midsts of market day.
From here we can see why it is called Perpendicular Gothic style.
And just as it has for centuries, market days and life itself, continues just as always.
