Wandering through the Cotswolds, we find the delightful little town of Moreton-in-Marsh. On High Street, we find The Bell Inn. A curious place with a few rooms and a pub that serves no food.
Interestingly, however, we learn from a plaque outside that this quite likely the inspiration for the Prancing Pony of Tolkein's books.
So, it is not hard to suppose that were the beer kegs made of wood rather than aluminum, this might well look as some people might imagine such a place.
There are many old things to be seen on High Street. Once you get past all the old folks (like us), there are plenty of Victorian era things to see in the windows.
