Everywhere you look there are magnificent stained glass windows and ceilings that are amazing.
Even the stone carving in the memorials of the regular (albeit terribly rich) people buried here are done in great detail.
It is also clear that there have been many very rich people who wanted their memories maintained in this place.
Thomas Machen, Alderman of the City of Gloucester and thrice Mayor with his wife Christian. They were married for 50 years had 7 sons and 6 daughters and died within months of each other in 1614/15. Below is their resting place. (source)
But as is always the case in such a place, the most awe inspiring thing to see is the building itself.
the small (unreadable) sign tells us that this cross is carried regularly in services here and it was use in the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
