Gloucester Cathedral - VI

Today, we conclude our visit to this wonderful church with more views of the stained glass and incredible stone carvings.

I have omitted several of the better known tombs/effigies partly because they are easy to find on the web and also because I wanted to emphasize that building over the people that lie here.

The ceiling fans in the cloister are among the oldest extant portion of the church.

There is, of course, a memorial to the Queen here since she has just died.

And there are vast expanses of Gothic ceilings, arches (Gothic and Roman), and stained glass. Enough of each to fascinate for a lifetime.
