Halloween in Snohomish

To no one's surprise, Halloween comes to Snohomish just like the rest of the country. Well, perhaps not in just the same way, but it gets here. Halloween here is a bit different. The businesses go all in and give out candy and for two hours there are hordes of people wandering the streets in their finest costumes, herding children and gather sweets.

As you can see, there are many varieties of costumes on display.

It is nice to know that Captain America is on duty and keeping us all safe.

Cleopatra was among those passing out candy for the shops.

We stopped by wall to take a few portraits. We asked a passerby to operate the shutter for this one so we could all be in it. Seamus is dressed as a shark this year. This is inspired by the baby shark song. Search for it on YouTube and you see why we are all part of the shark family with our shirts.

There seems to be a new style of costume that is inflatable. We saw several of these. This one is a T-Rex with, as you can see, a small opening for the child inside to see though.

Naturally, the best part of the holiday for us is Seamus. Our little shark was out exploring and learning.
