Tournament of Kings

We booked ourselves seats at a dinner theater at the Excalibur called the Tournament of Kings. We were seated around a sizeable arena, served dinner and treated to a fairly elaborate show involving sword fights, horses, magicians, and a bad guy with a flamethrower.

The show began with soldiers (in this case women, all the men were on stage already) escorting the various kings our for review.

There was, of course, jousting from horseback that looked pretty darned real.

Kings of various countries were doing the jounting. We were seated in the Russia section and were compelled to cheer the russian king on in his quest.

Naturally, the king of kings was Arthur and the women came back in gentler garb to dance on and around the round table.

This shot give you a sense of the scale of the production. It was not anything I need to do again but it was impressive in its scale and quality of the production. The sword fights were good and the horsemanship was very good even if the storyline was weak.
