Swallow-tailed Gull and Smooth-billed Ani

Since you had a strinking view of an immature swallow-tailed gull, I thought you also deserved to see a few images of the adult.
As you can see, once they get past the mottled juvenal stage, they end up looking more or less like a regular gull.

And when an adult lands with wings outstretched, they are not nearly so impressive.

On our way back from the beach and the cliffs, we did spot a smooth-billed ani in a tree. There really doesn't seem to be anything smooth about this bird.
